Mad River

In many ways, the landscape in Mad River is a character in itself, whose stories, presence and daily rhythms shape the film.

We made Mad River on the ranch where Rowan Gould-Bayba grew up. Davis Gould-Baybas (producer/cinematographer) and Kahlil Gould-Baybas (actor, David) grandfather has raised cattle for more than 25 years.

We couldn't have made this film without the support, creativity, generosity and kindness of Rowan and Kahlil's family, the community in Petrolia, CA and our brilliant cast and crew.
